News Hub

Yestrday was a very exciting day for everyone who has some kind of affiliation to Dempster Hall in Hofstra University.  It was the Grand Opening of the News Hub, or the new converged newsroom.  New technologies were explored as students (like myself), professors, and faculty gathered to see the unvieling of the highly-anticipated newsroom.  I am glad that I am a junior and stilll have a year and a half with the newsroom.  Last night was a great learning experiance, I especillay liked helping my professor and peers broadcast the event live on Ustream.tv.  we all worked together to get raw footage to capture the night.  Some students had behind the scenes activities, others had on air positions, while some interviewed with flipcams.  I am excited to see how the converged newsroom aids the 2008 presidential debate next October!
